Genesis 46:3-7

3Then he said, “I am God, athe God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will bmake you into a great nation. 4I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also cbring you up again, and dJoseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”

5Then Jacob set out from Beersheba. The sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons ethat Pharaoh had sent to carry him. 6They also took their livestock and their goods, which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and fcame into Egypt, Jacob and all his offspring with him, 7his sons, and his sonssons with him, his daughters, and his sonsdaughters. All his offspring he brought with him into Egypt.

Numbers 20:15

15 ghow our fathers went down to Egypt, hand we lived in Egypt a long time. iAnd the Egyptians dealt harshly with us and our fathers.

Deuteronomy 10:22

22Your fathers went down to Egypt jseventy persons, and now the Lord your God has made you kas numerous as the stars of heaven.

5“And you shall make response before the Lord your God, ‘A lwandering Aramean was my father. And he went down into Egypt and sojourned there, mfew in number, and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous.

Joshua 24:4
