29And awhen the time drew near that Israel must die, he called his son Joseph and said to him, “If now bI have found favor in your sight, cput your hand under my thigh and dpromise to deal kindly and truly with me. eDo not bury me in Egypt, 30but let me lie with my fathers. Genesis 49:29-32

29Then he commanded them and said to them, “I am to be igathered to my people; jbury me with my fathers kin the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, 30in the cave that is in the field at Machpelah, to the east of Mamre, in the land of Canaan, lwhich Abraham bought with the field from Ephron the Hittite to possess as a burying place. 31 mThere they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife.
