Genesis 48:19-20

19But his father refused and said, a“I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, bhis younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude
Hebrew fullness
of nations.”
20So he blessed them that day, saying,

“By you Israel will pronounce blessings, saying,
dGod make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’”
Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.

Deuteronomy 33:17

17 eA firstborn bull

Isaiah 7:17

Hosea 5:9

9Ephraim shall become a desolation
in the day of punishment;
among the tribes of Israel
I make known what is sure.

Hosea 5:11

11Ephraim is qoppressed, crushed in judgment,
because he was determined to go after filth.

13 When Ephraim saw his sickness,
and Judah shis wound,
then Ephraim went tto Assyria,
and sent to the great king.

they have become to him altars for sinning.

Hosea 12:1

1Ephraim feeds on the wind
and pursues adthe east wind all day long;
they multiply aefalsehood and violence;
afthey make a covenant with Assyria,
and agoil is carried to Egypt.

Hosea 13:1

The Lord’s Relentless Judgment on Israel

1 When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling;
ahhe was exalted in Israel,
but he incurred guilt aithrough Baal and died.
