“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
7Jesus said to him, Again ahit is written, ai‘You shall not ajput the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 akAgain, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, alSatan! Luke 22:39-44

Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives

39 apAnd he came out and went, aqas was his custom, to arthe Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. 40 asAnd when he came to atthe place, he said to them, auPray that you may not aventer into temptation.” 41And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and awknelt down and prayed, 42saying, axFather, if you are willing, remove aythis cup from me. azNevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” 43And there appeared to him baan angel from heaven, strengthening him. 44And bbbeing in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
