Genesis 50:23

23And Joseph saw Ephraim’s children aof the third generation. The bchildren also of Machir the son of Manasseh were ccounted as Joseph’s own.

Numbers 26:29-34

29 eThe sons of Manasseh: of fMachir, the clan of the Machirites; and Machir was the father of Gilead; gof Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites. 30These are the sons of Gilead: of Iezer, the clan of the Iezerites; of Helek, the clan of the Helekites; 31and of Asriel, the clan of the Asrielites; and of Shechem, the clan of the Shechemites; 32and of Shemida, the clan of the Shemidaites; and of Hepher, the clan of the Hepherites. 33Now hZelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters. And the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. 34These are the clans of Manasseh, and those listed were i52,700.

Numbers 27:1

The Daughters of Zelophehad

1Then drew near the daughters of jZelophehad the son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, from the clans of Manasseh the son of Joseph. The names of his daughters were: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

Numbers 32:30-42

30However, if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.” 31And the people of Gad and the people of Reuben answered, “What the Lord has said to your servants, we will do. 32We will pass over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”

33And kMoses gave to them, to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land and its cities with their territories, the cities of the land throughout the country. 34And the people of Gad built lDibon, mAtaroth, nAroer, 35Atroth-shophan, oJazer, Jogbehah, 36 pBeth-nimrah and Beth-haran, qfortified cities, and folds for sheep. 37And the people of Reuben built rHeshbon, sElealeh, Kiriathaim, 38 tNebo, and uBaal-meon ( vtheir names were changed), and wSibmah. And they gave other names to the cities that they built. 39And the sons of xMachir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it. 40And Moses ygave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it. 41And zJair the son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, and called them Havvoth-jair.
 Havvoth-jair means the villages of Jair
42And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages, and called it Nobah, after his own name.

Deuteronomy 3:13-15

13 abThe rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, that is, acall the region of Argob, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. (All that portion of Bashan is called the land of adRephaim. 14 aeJair the Manassite took all the region of Argob, that is, Bashan, as far as the border of afthe Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called the villages agafter his own name, Havvoth-jair, as it is to this day.) 15To Machir ahI gave Gilead,

1 Chronicles 2:21-23

21Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of aiMachir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she bore him Segub. 22And Segub fathered Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 ajBut Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth-jair, Kenath, and its villages, sixty towns. All these were descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead.
