Numbers 26:29-34

The Daughters of Zelophehad

1 Then drew near the daughters of ^jZelophehad the son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, from the clans of Manasseh the son of Joseph. The names of his daughters were: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

Numbers 32:30-42

30 However, if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.” 31 And the people of Gad and the people of Reuben answered, “What the Lord has said to your servants, we will do. 32 We will pass over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.”

And they gave other names to the cities that they built. 39 And the sons of ^xMachir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it. 40 And Moses ^ygave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it. 41 And ^zJair the son of Manasseh went and captured their villages, and called them Havvoth-jair. ^{▼▼ Havvoth-jair means the villages of Jair} 42 And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages, and called it Nobah, after his own name.

Deuteronomy 3:13-15

13 ^abThe rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, that is, ^acall the region of Argob, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. 1 Chronicles 2:21-23

21 Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of ^aiMachir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she bore him Segub. 22 And Segub fathered Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 ^ajBut Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth-jair, Kenath, and its villages, sixty towns. All these were descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead.
