for righteousness,
but behold, an outcry!

Jeremiah 6:7

7 eAs a well keeps its water fresh,
so she keeps fresh her evil;
fviolence and destruction are heard within her;
sickness and wounds are ever before me.

Ezekiel 7:11

11 gViolence has grown up into ha rod of wickedness. iNone of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.
The meaning of this last Hebrew sentence is uncertain

Probably refers to an instrument of captivity
