Genesis 6:11-12

11Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12And God asaw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, bfor all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.

Isaiah 59:6-7

6 cTheir webs will not serve as clothing;
men will not cover themselves with what they make.
Their works are works of iniquity,
and deeds of violence are in their hands.
7 dTheir feet run to evil,
and they are swift to shed innocent blood;
their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
desolation and destruction are in their highways.

Jeremiah 22:3

3Thus says the Lord: eDo justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And fdo no wrong or violence gto the resident alien, hthe fatherless, and the widow, nor ished innocent blood in this place.

Jeremiah 22:16-17

16 jHe judged the cause of the poor and needy;
kthen it was well.
Is not this lto know me?
declares the Lord.
17But you have eyes and heart
only for your dishonest gain,
mfor shedding innocent blood,
and for practicing oppression and violence.”

Ezekiel 7:23

Amos 3:10

10“They do not know how to do right,” declares the Lord,
r“those who store up violence and robbery in their strongholds.”

Amos 5:11-12

11Therefore because you strample on

and you exact taxes of grain from him,
uyou have built houses of hewn stone,
but you shall not dwell in them;
vyou have planted pleasant vineyards,
but you shall not drink their wine.
12For I know how many are your transgressions
and how great are your sins
you who afflict the righteous, who wtake a bribe,
and xturn aside the needy yin the gate.
