Genesis 6:17

17 aFor behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die.

Genesis 7:17-24

17The flood bcontinued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18The waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the face of the waters. 19And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. 20The waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
deep.
21And dall flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind. 22Everything on the dry land ein whose nostrils was the breath of life died. 23He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only fNoah was left, and those who were with him in the ark. 24And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.

Genesis 19:24

24Then gthe Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the Lord out of heaven.

Exodus 9:23-25

23Then Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, and the hLord sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt. 24There was hail and fire flashing continually in the midst of the hail, very heavy hail, such as had never been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. 25The hail struck down everything that was in the field in all the land of Egypt, both man and beast. And the hail istruck down every plant of the field and broke every tree of the field.

Deuteronomy 8:2

2And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you jthese forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, ktesting you lto know what was in your heart, mwhether you would keep his commandments or not.

Deuteronomy 8:15

15who nled you through the great and terrifying wilderness, owith its fiery serpents and scorpions pand thirsty ground where there was no water, qwho brought you water out of the flinty rock,
