4The Nephilim
Or giants
were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.

5 bThe Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every cintention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Deuteronomy 7:3-4

3 dYou shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, 4for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. eThen the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you fquickly.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10

6 gIf your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or hthe wife you embrace

7some lof the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, 8you shall mnot yield to him or listen to him, nor nshall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. 9But you shall kill him. oYour hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. 10 pYou shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Judges 17:4-5

4So when he restored the money to his mother, his mother qtook 200 pieces of silver and gave it to the silversmith, who made it into a carved image and a metal image. And it was in the house of Micah. 5And the man Micah had a shrine, and he made ran ephod and shousehold gods, and tordained

Nehemiah 13:23-27

23In those days also I saw the Jews vwho had married women wof Ashdod, xAmmon, and yMoab. 24And half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod, and they could not speak the language of Judah, but only the language of each people. 25 zAnd I confronted them and cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out their hair. aaAnd I made them take an oath in the name of God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters to their sons, or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves. 26 abDid not Solomon king of Israel sin on account of such women? acAmong the many nations there was no king like him, and he was adbeloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless, foreign women made even him to sin. 27Shall we then listen to you and do all this great evil and aeact treacherously against our God by marrying foreign women?”

Malachi 2:15

15 afDid he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union?
