Deuteronomy 29:19

19one who, when he hears the words of this sworn covenant, blesses himself in his heart, saying, ‘I shall be safe, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart.’ This will lead to the sweeping away of moist and dry alike.

Jeremiah 3:17

17At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord, hand all nations shall gather to it, ito the presence of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart.

17 vBut we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to wthe queen of heaven xand pour out drink offerings to her, yas we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.
