Genesis 6:6-7

6 And ^athe Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it ^bgrieved him to his heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

Deuteronomy 32:18-25

18 You were unmindful of ^cthe Rock that bore ^{▼▼Or fathered} you,
and you ^eforgot the God who gave you birth.
19 ^f“The Lord saw it and spurned them,
because of the provocation of ^ghis sons and his daughters.
20 And he said, ^h‘I will hide my face from them;
I will see what their end will be,
for they are a perverse generation,
children in whom is no faithfulness.
21 ⁱThey have made me jealous with what is no god;
they have provoked me to anger ^jwith their idols.
So ^kI will make them jealous with those who are no people;

devours the earth and its increase,
and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.
23 “‘And I will heap disasters upon them;
^oI will spend my arrows on them;
24 they shall be wasted with hunger,
and devoured by plague
and poisonous pestilence;
I will send ^pthe teeth of beasts against them,
with the venom of ^qthings that crawl in the dust.
25 ^rOutdoors the sword shall bereave,
and indoors terror,
for young man and woman alike,
the nursing child with the man of gray hairs.

2 Chronicles 36:16-17

16 ^sBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, ^tdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, ^uuntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.
