God’s Covenant with Noah

20Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

Genesis 22:2

2He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to athe land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

Genesis 22:8

8Abraham said, bGod will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.

Genesis 22:13

13And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son.

Exodus 24:5

5And he sent young men of the people of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord.

Exodus 29:18

18and burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord. It is a cpleasing aroma, a food offering

Exodus 29:42

42It shall be a eregular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord, fwhere I will meet with you, to speak to you there.

Exodus 32:6

6And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And gthe people sat down to eat and drink and rose up hto play.

Exodus 38:1

Making the Altar of Burnt Offering

1 iHe made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. Five cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
was its length, and five cubits its breadth. It was square, and three cubits was its height.

Leviticus 6:9-13

9Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering. The burnt offering shall be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it. 10And kthe priest shall put on his linen garment and put his linen undergarment on his body, and he shall take up the ashes to which the fire has reduced the burnt offering on the altar and put them lbeside the altar. 11Then mhe shall take off his garments and put on other garments and carry the ashes noutside the camp to a clean place. 12The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall arrange the burnt offering on it and shall burn on it othe fat of the peace offerings. 13Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

Leviticus 8:18

18 pThen he presented the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

Leviticus 8:21

21He washed the entrails and the legs with water, and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering for the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.
