Genesis 9:21-27
21He drank of the wine and became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent. 22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside. 23Then Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned backward, and they did not see their father’s nakedness. 24When Noah awoke from his wine aand knew what his youngest son had done to him, 25he said,b“Cursed be Canaan;
ca servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.”
26He also said,
“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem;
and let Canaan be his servant.
27May God enlarge Japheth, ▼
and let him dwell in the tents of Shem,
and let Canaan be his servant.”

9For eanyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; fhis blood is upon him.Deuteronomy 21:18-21
A Rebellious Son
18“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, 19then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, 20and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21 gThen all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones. hSo you shall purge the evil from your midst, iand all Israel shall hear, and fear.Proverbs 20:20
20 jIf one curses his father or his mother,khis lamp will be put out in utter darkness.
