Genesis 9:5-6

5And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: afrom every beast I will require it and bfrom man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

6 c“Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed,
dfor God made man in his own image.

Exodus 21:14

14But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, eyou shall take him from my altar, that he may die.

Numbers 35:31-33

31Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death. 32And you shall accept no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may return to dwell in the land before the death of the high priest. 33You shall not fpollute the land in which you live, for blood gpollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except hby the blood of the one who shed it.

2 Chronicles 24:25-26

25When they had departed from him, leaving him iseverely wounded, jhis servants conspired against him because of the blood of kthe son

of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David, mbut they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.
26Those who conspired against him were Zabad the son of Shimeath the Ammonite, and Jehozabad the son of Shimrith the Moabite.
