Genesis 9:5-6

Numbers 35:33

33 You shall not ^epollute the land in which you live, for blood ^fpollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except ^gby the blood of the one who shed it.

Deuteronomy 21:7-8

7 and they shall testify, ‘Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it shed. 8 Accept atonement, O Lord, for your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and ^hdo not set the guilt of innocent blood in the midst of your people Israel, so that their blood guilt be atoned for.’

2 Kings 21:16

16 ⁱMoreover, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides the sin ^jthat he made Judah to sin so that they did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.
