Habakkuk 1:6-10

6For behold, aI am raising up the Chaldeans,
that bitter and hasty nation,
bwho march through the breadth of the earth,
cto seize dwellings not their own.
7They are dreaded and fearsome;
dtheir justice and dignity go forth from themselves.
8 eTheir horses are swifter than leopards,
more fierce than fthe evening wolves;
their horsemen press proudly on.
Their horsemen come from afar;
gthey fly like an eagle swift to devour.
9They all come hfor violence,
all their faces forward.
They gather captives ilike sand.
10At kings they scoff,
and at rulers they laugh.
jThey laugh at every fortress,
for kthey pile up earth and take it.

John 8:5-7

5Now lin the Law, Moses commanded us mto stone such women. So what do you say?” 6This they said nto test him, othat they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, p“Let him who is without sin among you qbe the first to throw a stone at her.”
