Testing of Your Faith

2 bCount it all joy, my brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verses 16, 19
when you meet trials dof various kinds,
3for you know that ethe testing of your faith fproduces steadfastness. 4And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be gperfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James 1:12

12 hBlessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive ithe crown of life, jwhich God has promised to those who love him.

1 Peter 1:7

7so that kthe tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes lthough it is tested by mfire—may be found to result in npraise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
