Hebrews 2:1

Warning Against Neglecting Salvation

1Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

Hebrews 3:1

Jesus Greater Than Moses

1Therefore, holy brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verse 12
you who share in ba heavenly calling, consider Jesus, cthe apostle and high priest of our confession,

Hebrews 3:12-13

12Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from dthe living God. 13But eexhort one another every day, as long as it is calledtoday,” that none of you may be hardened by fthe deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 4:1

1Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem gto have failed to reach it.

Hebrews 4:11

11Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so hthat no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

Hebrews 6:11-12

11And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance iof hope until the end, 12so that you may not be sluggish, but jimitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 10:19-39

The Full Assurance of Faith

19 kTherefore, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters
since we have confidence to enter mthe holy places by the blood of Jesus,
20by nthe new and living way that he opened for us through othe curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21and since we have pa great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts qsprinkled clean rfrom an evil conscience and our bodies swashed with pure water. 23 tLet us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for uhe who promised is faithful. 24And vlet us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 wnot neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and xall the more as you see ythe Day drawing near.

26For zif we go on sinning deliberately aaafter receiving the knowledge of the truth, abthere no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 acbut a fearful expectation of judgment, and ada fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28 aeAnyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy afon the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one agwho has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned ahthe blood of the covenant aiby which he was sanctified, and has ajoutraged the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, akVengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, al“The Lord will judge his people.” 31 amIt is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32But recall the former days when, after anyou were enlightened, you endured aoa hard struggle with sufferings, 33sometimes being appublicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. 34For aqyou had compassion on those in prison, and aryou joyfully accepted the plundering of your property, since you knew that you yourselves had asa better possession and an abiding one. 35Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has ata great reward. 36For auyou have need of endurance, so that avwhen you have done the will of God you may awreceive what is promised. 37For,

axYet a little while,
and aythe coming one will come and will not delay;
38 azbut my righteous one shall live by faith,
and if he shrinks back,
my soul has no pleasure in him.”
39But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

Hebrews 13:1-3

Sacrifices Pleasing to God

1Let babrotherly love continue. 2 bbDo not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby bcsome have entertained angels unawares. 3 bdRemember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

Hebrews 13:12-16

12So Jesus also besuffered bfoutside the gate in order to sanctify the people bgthrough his own blood. 13Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear bhthe reproach he endured. 14For bihere we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. 15 bjThrough him then let us continually offer up bka sacrifice of praise to God, that is, blthe fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. 16Do not neglect to do good and bmto share what you have, for such bnsacrifices are pleasing to God.
