Warning Against Neglecting Salvation

1 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. 2 For since ^athe message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and ^bevery transgression or disobedience received a just ^cretribution, 3 ^dhow shall we escape if we ^eneglect such a great salvation? 15 See to it that no one ⁱfails to obtain the grace of God; that no ^j“root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; 16 that no one is ^ksexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.
