Heb 2:11-15, Rev 1:5-6 | ESV | STEP | For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source . That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers ,

11 For ^ahe who sanctifies and ^bthose who are sanctified ^call have one source. ^{▼▼Greek all are of one} That is why he is not ashamed to call them ^ebrothers, ^{▼▼Or brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verse 12} 12 saying,

^g“I will tell of your name to my brothers;
in the midst of the ^hcongregation I will sing your praise.”
13 And again,

ⁱ“I will put my trust in him.”
And again,

^j“Behold, I and the children ^kGod has given me.”
14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise ^lpartook of the same things, that ^mthrough death he might ⁿdestroy ^othe one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who ^pthrough fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.

Revelation of John 1:5-6

5 and from Jesus Christ ^qthe faithful witness, ^rthe firstborn of the dead, and ^sthe ruler of kings on earth.

To ^thim who loves us and ^uhas freed us from our sins by his blood 6 and made us ^va kingdom, ^wpriests to ^xhis God and Father, to him be ^yglory and ^zdominion forever and ever. Amen.
