A Rest for the People of God
7Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,a“Today, if you hear his voice,
8do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
on the day of testing in the wilderness,
James 4:7-10
7Submit yourselves therefore to God. bResist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 cDraw near to God, and he will draw near to you. dCleanse your hands, you sinners, and epurify your hearts, fyou double-minded. 9 gBe wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 hHumble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
