Hebrews 4:11

11Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so athat no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

Hebrews 11:7-8

7By faith bNoah, being warned by God concerning cevents as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of dthe righteousness that comes by faith.

8By faith eAbraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place fthat he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:17

17By faith gAbraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son,

Hebrews 11:24-34

24By faith Moses, when he was grown up, hrefused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 ichoosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy jthe fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 kHe considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to lthe reward. 27By faith he mleft Egypt, nnot being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured oas seeing him who is invisible. 28By faith phe kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

29By faith qthe people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned. 30By faith rthe walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days. 31By faith sRahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she thad given a friendly welcome to the spies.

32And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of uGideon, vBarak, wSamson, xJephthah, of yDavid and zSamuel and the prophets 33who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, aastopped the mouths of lions, 34 abquenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, acbecame mighty in war, adput foreign armies to flight.

James 2:17-26

17So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith aeapart from your works, and I will show you my faith afby my works. 19 agYou believe that God is one; you do well. Even ahthe demons believeand shudder! 20Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21 aiWas not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that ajfaith was active along with his works, and faith was completed akby his works; 23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, alAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a amfriend of God. 24You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25And in the same way was not also anRahab the prostitute justified by works aowhen she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

Revelation of John 2:19

19 ap“‘I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first.
