Hebrews 8:9-13

9 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers
on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt.
For they did not continue in my covenant,
and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.
10 ^aFor this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws into their minds,
and ^bwrite them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
11 And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor
and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’
for they shall ^call know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
^dand I will remember their sins no more.”
13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And ^ewhat is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

2 Peter 3:10-13

10 But ^fthe day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then ^gthe heavens will pass away with a roar, and ^hthe heavenly bodies ^{▼▼Or elements; also verse 12} will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. ^{▼▼Greek found; some manuscripts will be burned up}

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, ^kwhat sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 ^lwaiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and ^mthe heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for ⁿnew heavens and a new earth ^oin which righteousness dwells.

Revelation of John 21:1-5

The New Heaven and the New Earth

1 Then I saw ^pa new heaven and a new earth, for ^qthe first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw ^rthe holy city, ^snew Jerusalem, ^tcoming down out of heaven from God, ^uprepared ^vas a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, ^wthe dwelling place ^{▼▼Or tabernacle} of God is with man. He will ^ydwell with them, and they will be his people, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts peoples} and God himself will be with them as their God. ^{▼▼Some manuscripts omit as their God} 4 ^abHe will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and ^acdeath shall be no more, ^adneither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

5 And ^aehe who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I ^afam making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for ^agthese words are trustworthy and true.”
