Hosea 11:7-9

7 My people are bent ^aon turning away from me,
and though ^bthey call out to the Most High,
he shall not raise them up at all.
8 How can I give you up, O Ephraim?
How can I hand you over, O Israel?
^cHow can I make you ^dlike Admah?
How can I treat you ^elike Zeboiim?
^fMy heart recoils within me;
my compassion grows warm and tender.
9 I will not execute my burning anger;
I will not again destroy Ephraim;
^gfor I am God and not a man,
^hthe Holy One in your midst,
and I will not come in wrath. ^{▼▼Or into the city}

Micah 6:2-5

2 ^jHear, you mountains, ^kthe indictment of the Lord,
and you enduring foundations of the earth,
for the Lord has an indictment against his people,
and he will contend with Israel.
3 “O my people, ^lwhat have I done to you?
^mHow have I wearied you? Answer me!
4 For ⁿI brought you up from the land of Egypt
and ^oredeemed you from the house of slavery,
and I sent before you Moses,
Aaron, and ^pMiriam.
5 O my people, remember ^qwhat Balak king of Moab devised,
and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him,
and what happened from ^rShittim to Gilgal,
that you may know ^sthe righteous acts of the Lord.”
