Samaria bshall bear her guilt,
because cshe has rebelled against her God;
they shall fall by the sword;
dtheir little ones shall be dashed in pieces,
and their epregnant women ripped open.

Amos 3:11-15

and bring down

The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain
of a bed.

13 Hear, mand testify against the house of Jacob,”
declares the Lord God, nthe God of hosts,
14that on the day I punish Israel for his transgressions,
oI will punish the altars of Bethel,
and pthe horns of the altar shall be cut off
and fall to the ground.
15 qI will strike rthe winter house along with sthe summer house,
and tthe houses of ivory shall perish,
and the great houses
Or  and many houses
shall come to an end,”

declares the Lord.

Amos 4:1-3

1Hear this word, vyou cows of Bashan,
who are won the mountain of Samaria,
xwho oppress the poor, ywho crush the needy,
who say to your husbands, ‘Bring, that we may drink!’
2 zThe Lord God has sworn by his holiness
that, behold, the days are coming upon you,
aawhen they shall take you away with hooks,
abeven the last of you with fishhooks.
3 acAnd you shall go out through the breaches,
each one straight ahead;
and you shall be cast out into Harmon,”

declares the Lord.

Amos 6:7

7 adTherefore they shall now be the first of those who go into exile,
and the revelry of those who stretch themselves out shall pass away.”

Amos 9:1-4

The Destruction of Israel

1I saw the Lord standing beside

the altar, and he said:

afStrike the capitals until agthe thresholds ahshake,
aiand shatter them on the heads of all the people;
Hebrew  all of them

and those who are left of them I will kill with the sword;
aknot one of them shall flee away;
not one of them shall escape.
2 alIf they dig into Sheol,
from there shall my hand take them;
amif they climb up to heaven,
from there I will bring them down.
3If they hide themselves on anthe top of Carmel,
from there I will search them out and take them;
aoand if they hide from my sight at the bottom of the sea,
there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them.
4 apAnd if they go into captivity before their enemies,
there I will command the sword, and it shall kill them;
aqand I will fix my eyes upon them
for evil and not for good.”

Micah 1:6-9

6Therefore I will make arSamaria asa heap in the open country,
a place for planting vineyards,
and I will pour down her stones atinto the valley
and auuncover her foundations.
7All avher carved images shall be beaten to pieces,
awall her wages shall be burned with fire,
and all her idols I will lay waste,
for from axthe fee of a prostitute she gathered them,
and to the fee of a prostitute they shall return.
8 ayFor this I will lament and wail;
I will go azstripped and naked;
I will make lamentation balike the jackals,
and mourning bblike the ostriches.
9 bcFor her wound is incurable,
and it has come to Judah;
it has reached to the gate of my people,
to Jerusalem.

Micah 6:16

16For you have kept the statutes of bdOmri,
Hebrew  For the statutes of Omri are kept

and all the works of the house of bfAhab;
and you have walked in their counsels,
that I may make you bga desolation, and your
Hebrew its
inhabitants bia hissing;
so you shall bear bjthe scorn of my people.”

Micah 7:13

13But bkthe earth will be desolate
because of its inhabitants,
for the fruit of their deeds.
