Hosea 13:5-8

5 ^aIt was I who knew you in the wilderness,
in the land of drought;
6 ^bbut when they had grazed, ^{▼▼Hebrew according to their pasture} they became full,
^dthey were filled, and their heart was lifted up;
^etherefore they forgot me.
7 So ^fI am to them like a lion;
^glike a leopard I will lurk beside the way.
8 I will fall upon them ^hlike a bear robbed of her cubs;
I will tear open their breast,
and there I will devour them like a lion,
ⁱas a wild beast would rip them open.
