Isaiah 1:10-15

10 Hear the word of the Lord,
you rulers of a, bSodom!
Give ear to the teaching
Or law
of our God,
you people of dGomorrah!
11 eWhat to me is the multitude of your sacrifices?
says the Lord;
I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
and the fat of well-fed beasts;
I do not delight in the blood of bulls,
or of lambs, or of goats.
12 “When you come to fappear before me,
who has required of you
this trampling of my courts?
13Bring no more vain offerings;
incense is an abomination to me.
gNew moon and Sabbath and the hcalling of convocations
I cannot endure iiniquity and jsolemn assembly.
14Your knew moons and your appointed feasts
my soul hates;
they have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.
15When you lspread out your hands,
I will hide my eyes from you;
meven though you make many prayers,
I will not listen;
nyour hands are full of blood.

Jeremiah 3:10

10Yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to me owith her whole heart, but in pretense, declares the Lord.”

Jeremiah 7:21-28

21Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: pAdd your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. 22For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them qconcerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. 23But this command I gave them: rObey my voice, and sI will be your God, and you shall be my people. tAnd walk in all the way that I command you, uthat it may be well with you.’ 24 vBut they did not obey or incline their ear, wbut walked in their own counsels and xthe stubbornness of their evil hearts, and ywent backward and not forward. 25From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, zI have persistently sent all my servants the prophets to them, day after day. 26 aaYet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, abbut stiffened their neck. acThey did worse than their fathers.

27 ad“So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. aeYou shall call to them, but they will not answer you. 28And you shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, and did not accept discipline; aftruth has perished; it is cut off from their lips.

Micah 6:6-8

What Does the Lord Require?

and bow myself before ahGod on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 aiWill the Lord be pleased with
Or  Will the Lord accept
thousands of rams,
with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
akShall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”

and alwhat does the Lord require of you
