says the Lord;
I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
and the fat of well-fed beasts;
I do not delight in the blood of bulls,
or of lambs, or of goats.
12 “When you come to ^bappear before me,
who has required of you
this trampling of my courts?
13 Bring no more vain offerings;
incense is an abomination to me.
^cNew moon and Sabbath and the ^dcalling of convocations—
I cannot endure ^einiquity and ^fsolemn assembly.
14 Your ^gnew moons and your appointed feasts
my soul hates;
they have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.
15 When you ^hspread out your hands,
I will hide my eyes from you;
ⁱeven though you make many prayers,
I will not listen;
^jyour hands are full of blood.

Jeremiah 7:21

21 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^k“Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh.

Hosea 5:6

6 ^lWith their flocks and herds they shall go
to seek the Lord,
^mbut they will not find him;
ⁿhe has withdrawn from them.

Hosea 8:13

13 As for my sacrificial offerings,
^othey sacrifice meat and eat it,
but the Lord does not accept them.

Hebrews 10:1

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

1 For since the law has but ^aca shadow ^adof the good things to come instead of the true form of these realities, ^aeit can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near.
