6 Among the smooth stones of ^bthe valley is your portion;
they, they, are your lot;
to them you have poured out a drink offering,
you have brought a grain offering.
Shall I relent for these things?

Jeremiah 7:9-11

9 ^cWill you steal, murder, commit adultery, ^dswear falsely, ^emake offerings to Baal, ^fand go after other gods that you have not known, 10 and then come and stand before me in this house, ^gwhich is called by my name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—only to go on doing all these abominations? 11 ^hHas this house, ⁱwhich is called by my name, ^jbecome a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 7:21-24

21 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^k“Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. 22 For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them ^lconcerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. 23 But this command I gave them: ^m‘Obey my voice, and ⁿI will be your God, and you shall be my people. ^oAnd walk in all the way that I command you, ^pthat it may be well with you.’ 24 ^qBut they did not obey or incline their ear, ^rbut walked in their own counsels and ^sthe stubbornness of their evil hearts, and ^twent backward and not forward.

Amos 5:21-23

21 ^u“I hate, I despise your feasts,
and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies.
22 ^vEven though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
and the peace offerings of your fattened animals,
I will not look upon them.
23 Take away from me the noise of your songs;
to ^wthe melody of your harps I will not listen.

Zechariah 7:5-6

5 “Say to all the people of the land and the priests, 'When you fasted and mourned in ^xthe fifth month and in ^ythe seventh, for these ^zseventy years, ^aawas it ^abfor me that you fasted? 6 ^acAnd when you eat and when you drink, do you not eat for yourselves and drink for yourselves?

Malachi 2:13

13 And this second thing you do. ^adYou cover the Lord’s altar with tears, with weeping and groaning because he no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.
