Isaiah 1:16-18
16 aWash yourselves; make yourselves clean;remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
bcease to do evil,
17learn to do good;
cseek justice,
correct oppression;
dbring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.
18 “Come now, elet us reason ▼
▼Or dispute
together, says the Lord:though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as gwhite as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.
Ezekiel 18:27-31
27Again, hwhen a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life. 28Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 29Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, are my ways not just?
