Isaiah 1:16-19

16 aWash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
bcease to do evil,
17learn to do good;
cseek justice,
correct oppression;
dbring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.
18 Come now, elet us reason
Or dispute
together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as gwhite as snow;
though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool.
19 hIf you are willing and obedient,
you shall eat the good of the land;

Jeremiah 18:7-10

7If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will ipluck up and break down and destroy it, 8and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, jturns from its evil, kI will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it. 9And if at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will lbuild and plant it, 10and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.

Jeremiah 36:3

3 mIt may be that the house of Judah will hear all the disaster that I intend to do to them, nso that every one may turn from his evil way, and othat I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.”

Ezekiel 18:27-30

27Again, pwhen a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life. 28Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 29Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, are my ways not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

30Therefore qI will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God. rRepent and turn from all your transgressions, slest iniquity be your ruin.
Or lest iniquity be your stumbling block

Jonah 3:8-10

8but let man and ubeast be covered with sackcloth, and let them call out mightily to God. vLet everyone turn from his evil way and from wthe violence that is in his hands. 9 xWho knows? God may turn and relent yand turn from his fierce anger, so that we may not perish.”

10When God saw what they did, zhow they turned from their evil way, aaGod relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.

Jonah 4:2

2And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? abThat is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a acgracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and adrelenting from disaster.
