Isaiah 1:23

23Your princes are rebels
and companions of thieves.
Everyone aloves a bribe
and runs after gifts.
bThey do not bring justice to the fatherless,
and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

Isaiah 5:23

23who cacquit the guilty for a bribe,
and deprive the innocent of his right!

Jeremiah 5:26-28

26For wicked men are found among my people;
dthey lurk like fowlers lying in wait.
The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain

fThey set a trap;
they catch men.
27Like a cage full of birds,
their houses are full of deceit;
therefore they have become great and rich;
28 gthey have grown fat and sleek.
They know no bounds in deeds of evil;
hthey judge not with justice
the cause of the fatherless, to make it prosper,
and they do not defend the rights of the needy.

Micah 2:11

11If a man should go about and iutter wind and lies,
saying, “I will preach to you jof wine and strong drink,”
he would be the preacher for this people!

Micah 7:3

3 kTheir hands are on what is evil, to do it well;
lthe prince and mthe judge ask for a bribe,
and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul;
thus they weave it together.
