Isaiah 1:24-28

24 Therefore the aLord declares,
the Lord of hosts,
the bMighty One of Israel:
Ah, I will get relief from my enemies
cand avenge myself on my foes.
25 dI will turn my hand against you
and will smelt away your edross as with lye
and remove all your alloy.
26And I will restore your judges fas at the first,
and your counselors as at the beginning.
Afterward gyou shall be called the city of righteousness,
the faithful city.”
27 hZion shall be redeemed by justice,
and those in her who repent, by righteousness.
28 iBut rebels and sinners shall be broken together,
and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

Isaiah 27:9

9Therefore by this jthe guilt of Jacob will be atoned for,
and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin:
Septuagint  and this is the blessing when I take away his sin

lwhen he makes all the stones of the altars
like chalkstones crushed to pieces,
no mAsherim or incense altars will remain standing.

Ezekiel 20:38-41

38 nI will purge out the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against me. oI will bring them out of the land where they sojourn, pbut they shall not enter the land of Israel. qThen you will know that I am the Lord.

39“As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord God: rGo serve every one of you his idols, now and hereafter, if you will not listen to me; sbut my holy name you shall no more profane with your gifts and your idols.

40 tFor on my holy mountain, the mountain height of Israel, declares the Lord God, there uall the house of Israel, all of them, shall serve me in the land. vThere I will accept them, and there I will require your contributions and the choicest of your gifts, with all your sacred offerings. 41As a pleasing aroma I will accept you, when wI bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered. And xI will manifest my holiness among you in the sight of the nations.

Ezekiel 44:9-16

9Thus says the Lord God: yNo foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and flesh, of all the foreigners who are among the people of Israel, shall enter my sanctuary. 10But zthe Levites who went far from me, going astray from me after their idols aawhen Israel went astray, abshall bear their punishment.
Or iniquity; also verse 12
11They shall be administers in my sanctuary, having oversight aeat the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and afthey shall stand before the people, to minister to them. 12Because they ministered to them before their idols and became aga stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have ahsworn concerning them, declares the Lord God, and they shall bear their punishment. 13They aishall not come near to me, to serve me as priest, nor come near any of my holy things and the things that are most holy, but ajthey shall bear their shame and the abominations that they have committed. 14Yet I will appoint them to keep akcharge of the temple, alto do all its service and all that is to be done in it.

Rules for Levitical Priests

15“But amthe Levitical priests, anthe sons of Zadok, who kept aothe charge of my sanctuary apwhen the people of Israel went astray from me, shall come near to me aqto minister to me. And they shall stand before me to offer me arthe fat and the blood, declares the Lord God. 16They shall enter my sanctuary, and they shall approach asmy table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my charge.

Matthew 3:12

12His atwinnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and augather his wheat into the barn, avbut the chaff he will burn with awunquenchable fire.”

John 15:2

2 axEvery branch in me that does not bear fruit ayhe takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, azthat it may bear more fruit.
