Isaiah 1:29

29 aFor they
Some Hebrew manuscripts you
shall be ashamed of cthe oaks
that you desired;
and you shall blush for dthe gardens
that you have chosen.

Isaiah 57:5

5you who burn with lust among ethe oaks,
Or  among the terebinths

under every green tree,
gwho slaughter your children in the valleys,
under the clefts of the rocks?

7 hOn a high and lofty mountain
you have set your bed,
and there you went up to offer sacrifice.

Jeremiah 3:6

Faithless Israel Called to Repentance

6The Lord said to me in the days of iKing Josiah: “Have you seen what she did, that faithless one, Israel, jhow she went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and there kplayed the whore?

Jeremiah 3:13

Ezekiel 6:13

The meaning of this Hebrew sentence is uncertain

Ezekiel 16:25

25At the head of every street uyou built your lofty place and made vyour beauty an abomination, woffering yourself
Hebrew spreading your legs
to any passerby and multiplying your whoring.

Ezekiel 20:28-29

28For when I had brought them into the land that yI swore to give them, then wherever they saw zany high hill or any leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices and there they presented aathe provocation of their offering; there they sent up their pleasing aromas, and there they poured out their drink offerings. 29(I said to them, ab'What is the high place to which you go?' So its name is called Bamah
 Bamah means high place
to this day.)
