24 “And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For ^ctheir worm shall not die, ^dtheir fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”

Jeremiah 7:20

20 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, ^emy anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, upon man and beast, upon the trees of the field and the fruit of the ground; ^fit will burn and not be quenched.”

Jeremiah 17:27

27 But if you do not listen to me, to ^gkeep the Sabbath day holy, ^hand not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will ⁱkindle a fire in its gates, and it shall ^jdevour the palaces of Jerusalem and ^kshall not be quenched.’”

Ezekiel 20:47-48

47 Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, ^lI will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every ^mgreen tree in you and every ⁿdry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and ^oall faces from south to north shall be scorched by it. 48 ^pAll flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”

Mark 9:43-48

43 ^qAnd if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.
