Isaiah 1:7-8

7 aYour country lies desolate;
your cities are burned with fire;
in your very presence
foreigners devour your land;
it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.
8And bthe daughter of Zion is left
like a cbooth in a vineyard,
like a lodge in a cucumber field,
like a besieged city.

Isaiah 24:1

Judgment on the Whole Earth

1 Behold, dthe Lord will empty the earth
Or land; also throughout this chapter
and make it desolate,
and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants.

Isaiah 24:4-6

4 fThe earth mourns and withers;
the world languishes and withers;
the highest people of the earth languish.
5The earth lies gdefiled
under its inhabitants;
for hthey have transgressed the laws,
violated the statutes,
broken the everlasting covenant.
6Therefore ia curse devours the earth,
and its inhabitants jsuffer for their guilt;
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are scorched,
and few men are left.

Isaiah 24:19-20

19The earth is utterly broken,
the earth is split apart,
the earth is violently shaken.
20The earth kstaggers like a drunken man;
it sways like a hut;
lits transgression lies heavy upon it,
and it falls, and will not rise again.

Jeremiah 4:20-26

20 mCrash follows hard on crash;
the whole land is laid waste.
nSuddenly my tents are laid waste,
my curtains in a moment.
21How long must I see the standard
and hear the sound of the trumpet?
22 For omy people are foolish;
they know me not;
they are stupid children;
they have no understanding.
pThey are ‘wise’—in doing evil!
But how to do good they know not.”
23 I looked on the earth, and behold, it was qwithout form and void;
rand to the heavens, and they had no light.
24I looked on sthe mountains, and behold, they were quaking,
and all the hills moved to and fro.
25 tI looked, and behold, there was no man,
and all the birds of the air had fled.
26I looked, and behold, the ufruitful land was a desert,
and all its cities were laid in ruins
before the Lord, before vhis fierce anger.
