Isaiah 1:7-8

7 aYour country lies desolate;
your cities are burned with fire;
in your very presence
foreigners devour your land;
it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.
8And bthe daughter of Zion is left
like a cbooth in a vineyard,
like a lodge in a cucumber field,
like a besieged city.

Isaiah 7:17

17 dThe Lord will bring upon you and upon your people and upon your father’s house such days as have not come since the day that eEphraim departed from Judah—the king of Assyria!”

Isaiah 8:7-8

7therefore, behold, the Lord is bringing up against them fthe waters of gthe River, mighty and many, the king of Assyria and all his glory. And it hwill rise over all its channels and go over all its banks, 8and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, ireaching even to the neck, and its joutspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, kO Immanuel.”

Isaiah 10:28-32

pRamah trembles;
qGibeah of Saul has fled.
30Cry aloud, O daughter of rGallim!
Give attention, O Laishah!
O poor sAnathoth!
31Madmenah is in flight;
the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32This very day he will halt at tNob;
he will shake his fist
at the mount of uthe daughter of Zion,
the hill of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 33:7-8

7 Behold, their heroes cry in the streets;
vthe envoys of peace weep bitterly.
8 wThe highways lie waste;
the traveler ceases.
xCovenants are broken;
cities
