Isaiah 10:1-2

1Woe to those who adecree iniquitous decrees,
and the writers who bkeep writing oppression,
2to turn aside the needy from justice
and cto rob the poor of my people of their right,
that widows may be their spoil,
and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

Jeremiah 5:28-29

28 dthey have grown fat and sleek.
They know no bounds in deeds of evil;
ethey judge not with justice
the cause of the fatherless, to make it prosper,
and they do not defend the rights of the needy.
29 fShall I not punish them for these things?

declares the Lord,
and shall I not avenge myself
on a nation such as this?”

Zechariah 7:10

10 gdo not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, hor the poor, and ilet none of you devise evil against another in your heart.”

Malachi 3:5

5“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be ja swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those kwho oppress the hired worker in his wages, lthe widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

Luke 18:2-5

2He said, In a certain city there was a judge who mneither feared God nor respected man. 3And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ 4For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, nThough I neither fear God nor respect man, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’”
