Isaiah 10:16-19

16Therefore the Lord God of hosts
will send wasting sickness among his astout warriors,
and under his glory ba burning will be kindled,
like the burning of fire.
17 cThe light of Israel will become a fire,
and dhis Holy One a flame,
and eit will burn and devour
his thorns and briers fin one day.
18The glory of ghis forest and of his hfruitful land
the Lord will destroy, both soul and body,
and it will be as when a sick man wastes away.
19The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few
that a child can write them down.

Isaiah 10:25-34

25For iin a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction. 26And jthe Lord of hosts will wield against them a whip, as when he struck kMidian lat the rock of Oreb. And his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it mas he did in Egypt. 27And in that day nhis burden will depart from your shoulder, and ohis yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.”
The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain


28 He has come to Aiath;
he has passed through qMigron;
at Michmash he stores rhis baggage;
29they have crossed over sthe pass;
at tGeba they lodge for the night;
uRamah trembles;
vGibeah of Saul has fled.
30Cry aloud, O daughter of wGallim!
Give attention, O Laishah!
O poor xAnathoth!
31Madmenah is in flight;
the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32This very day he will halt at yNob;
he will shake his fist
at the mount of zthe daughter of Zion,
the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord God of hosts
aawill lop abthe boughs with terrifying power;
the great in height will be hewn down,
and the lofty will be brought low.
34He will cut down acthe thickets of the forest with an axe,
and adLebanon will fall by the Majestic One.

Isaiah 17:12-14

12 Ah, aethe thunder of many peoples;
they thunder like the thundering of the sea!
Ah, the roar of nations;
they roar like the roaring of mighty waters!
13 afThe nations roar like the roaring of many waters,
agbut he will rebuke them, and they will flee far away,
chased ahlike chaff on the mountains before the wind
and aiwhirling dust before the storm.
14 ajAt evening time, behold, terror!
Before morning, they are no more!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
and the lot of those who plunder us.

Isaiah 29:7-8

7And akthe multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel,
all that fight against her and her stronghold and distress her,
shall be allike a dream, a vision of the night.
8 amAs when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he is eating,
and awakes with his hunger not satisfied,
or as when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he is drinking
and awakes faint, with his thirst not quenched,
so shall the multitude of all the nations be
that fight against Mount Zion.

Isaiah 30:30-33

30And the Lord anwill cause his majestic voice to be heard and the descending blow of his arm to be seen, in furious anger aoand a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst apand storm and hailstones. 31The Assyrians will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, aqwhen he strikes with his rod. 32And every stroke of the appointed staff that the Lord lays on them arwill be to the sound of tambourines and lyres. asBattling with brandished arm, he will fight with them. 33For ata burning place

Isaiah 31:5-9

will protect Jerusalem;
he will protect and deliver it;
he will spare and rescue it.”

and his officers desert the standard in panic,”
declares the Lord, whose bffire is in Zion,
and whose bgfurnace is in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 37:36-38

36 bhAnd the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. 37Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and returned home and lived at biNineveh. 38And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword. And after they escaped into the land of bjArarat, bkEsarhaddon his son reigned in his place.

Isaiah 50:11

11Behold, all you who kindle a fire,
who equip yourselves with burning torches!
Walk by the light of your fire,
and by the torches that you have kindled!
blThis you have from my hand:
you shall lie down in torment.
