To whom will you flee for help,
and where will you leave your wealth?

Jeremiah 10:15

15 They are worthless, a work of delusion;
at the time of their punishment they shall perish.

Jeremiah 11:23

23 and none of them shall be left. For I will bring disaster upon the men of ^cAnathoth, ^dthe year of their punishment.”

Jeremiah 46:21

21 Even her hired soldiers in her midst
are like ^efattened calves;
yes, they have turned and fled together;
they did not stand,
for the day of their calamity has come upon them,
^fthe time of their punishment.

Ezekiel 7:2-7

2 “And you, ^gO son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: ^hAn end! Behold, it comes. 7 ^sYour doom ^{▼▼The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain; also verse 10} has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. ^uThe time has come; the day is near, a day of tumult, and not ^vof joyful shouting on the mountains.

Ezekiel 12:22-28

22 “Son of man, ^wwhat is this proverb that you ^{▼▼The Hebrew for you is plural} have about the land of Israel, saying, ^y‘The days grow long, and every vision comes to nothing’? 23 Tell them therefore, ‘Thus says the Lord God: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.’ But say to them, ^zThe days are near, and the fulfillment ^{▼▼Hebrew word} of every vision. 24 ^abFor there shall be no more any ^acfalse vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25 For I am the Lord; I will speak ^adthe word that I will speak, and it will be performed. ^aeIt will no longer be delayed, but in your days, ^afO rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it, declares the Lord God.”

26 And the word of the Lord came to me: 27 “Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, ^ag‘The vision that he sees is ^ahfor many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’ 28 Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: ^aiNone of my words will be delayed any longer, ^ajbut the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.”

Amos 8:2

2 And he said, ^ak“Amos, what do you see?” And I said, ^al“A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me,

I will never again pass by them.
