33 Behold, the Lord God of hosts
^awill lop ^bthe boughs with terrifying power;
the great in height will be hewn down,
and the lofty will be brought low.
34 He will cut down ^cthe thickets of the forest with an axe,
and ^dLebanon will fall by the Majestic One.

Isaiah 37:24

24 By your servants you have mocked the Lord,
and you have said, ^eWith my many chariots
I have gone up the heights of the mountains,
to the far recesses of Lebanon,
^fto cut down its tallest cedars,
its choicest cypresses,
to come to its remotest height,
its most fruitful forest.

Ezekiel 17:3-4

3 say, Thus says the Lord God: ^gA great eagle ^hwith great wings and long pinions, ⁱrich in plumage of many colors, came ^jto Lebanon ^kand took the top of the cedar. 4 He broke off the topmost of its young twigs and carried it to a land of trade and set it in a city of merchants.

Ezekiel 17:22

22 Thus says the Lord God: ^l“I myself will take a sprig from the lofty top of the cedar and will set it out. ^mI will break off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and ⁿI myself will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.
