Isaiah 11:1-3

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of ^aJesse,
and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
2 And ^bthe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
^cHe shall not judge by ^dwhat his eyes see,
or decide disputes by ^ewhat his ears hear,

Isaiah 61:1-3

The Year of the Lord’s Favor

1 ^fThe Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,

the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
^othat they may be called oaks of righteousness,

John 1:33

9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact ^agthe Spirit of God dwells in you. ^ahAnyone who does not have ^aithe Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

2 Corinthians 3:8

8 will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory?

2 Corinthians 3:17-18

For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
