Isaiah 11:13-15
13 aThe jealousy of Ephraim shall depart,and those who harass Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah,
and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
14 bBut they shall swoop down on the shoulder of the Philistines in the west,
and together they shall plunder cthe people of the east.
They shall put out their hand dagainst eEdom and fMoab,
and gthe Ammonites shall obey them.
15And the Lord will utterly destroy ▼
▼Hebrew devote to destruction
ithe tongue of the Sea of Egypt,
and will wave his hand over jthe River
with his scorching breath, ▼
▼Or wind
and strike it into seven channels,
and he will lead people across in sandals.
Jeremiah 9:26
26 lEgypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and mall who dwell in the desert who cut the corners of their hair, for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are nuncircumcised in heart.”Jeremiah 48:47
47 oYet I will restore the fortunes of Moabin the latter days, declares the Lord.”
Thus far is the judgment on Moab.
Jeremiah 49:6
6“But pafterward I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites, declares the Lord.”
