The Restoration of Jacob
1 gFor the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and hwill set them in their own land, and isojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob. 2And jthe peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them in the Lord’s land kas male and female slaves. ▼▼Or servants
mThey will take captive those who were their captors, nand rule over those who oppressed them. Joel 3:8
8I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the oSabeans, to a nation far away, for the Lord has spoken.”Obadiah 18-21
18 pThe house of Jacob shall be a fire,and the house of Joseph a flame,
and the house of Esau qstubble;
they shall burn them and consume them,
rand there shall be no survivor for the house of Esau,
for the Lord has spoken.
The Kingdom of the Lord
19 Those of sthe Negeb tshall possess uMount Esau,and those of the Shephelah shall possess vthe land of the Philistines;
they shall possess the land of Ephraim and the land of wSamaria,
and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
20The exiles of this host of the people of Israel
shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as xZarephath,
and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad
shall possess the cities of the Negeb.
21 ySaviors shall go up to Mount Zion
to rule zMount Esau,
and aathe kingdom shall be the Lord’s.
