Isaiah 11:2-5

2 And ^athe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
^bHe shall not judge by ^cwhat his eyes see,
or decide disputes by ^dwhat his ears hear,
4 but ^ewith righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall ^fstrike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and ^gwith the breath of his lips ^hhe shall kill the wicked.
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
and ⁱfaithfulness the belt of his loins.

Isaiah 59:21

21 “And as for me, ^jthis is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon you, ^kand my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children’s offspring,” says the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”

Isaiah 61:1

The Year of the Lord’s Favor
