Isaiah 13:15-18

15 Whoever is found will be thrust through,
and whoever is caught will fall by the sword.
16 ^aTheir infants will be dashed in pieces
before their eyes;
their houses will be plundered
and their wives ravished.
17 Behold, ^bI am stirring up the Medes against them,
who have no regard for silver
and do not delight in gold.
18 ^cTheir bows will slaughter ^{▼▼Hebrew dash in pieces} the young men;
they will have no mercy on the fruit of the womb;
their eyes will not pity children.

Jeremiah 9:21

21 For death has come up into our windows;
it has entered our palaces,
^ecutting off the children from the streets
and the young men from the squares.

Jeremiah 18:21

21 Therefore ^fdeliver up their children to famine;
give them over to the power of the sword;
let their wives become childless ^gand widowed.
May their men meet death by pestilence,
