Hebrew dash in pieces
the young men;

they are all mighty warriors.

Jeremiah 50:42

they are cruel and have no mercy.

Ezekiel 23:22-25

22Therefore, O Oholibah, thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will stir up against you your lovers efrom whom you turned in disgust, fand I will bring them against you from every side: 23the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, gPekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them, hdesirable young men, igovernors and commanders all of them, officers and men of renown, all of them riding on horses. 24And they shall come against you from the north
Septuagint; the meaning of the Hebrew word is unknown
with chariots and wagons and a host of peoples. kThey shall set themselves against you on every side with buckler, shield, and helmet; and lI will commit the judgment to them, and mthey shall judge you according to their judgments.
25And I will direct my jealousy against you, nthat they may deal with you in fury. They shall cut off your nose and your ears, and your survivors shall fall by the sword. oThey shall seize your sons and your daughters, and your survivors shall be devoured by fire.

Habakkuk 1:6-10

6For behold, pI am raising up the Chaldeans,
that bitter and hasty nation,
qwho march through the breadth of the earth,
rto seize dwellings not their own.
7They are dreaded and fearsome;
stheir justice and dignity go forth from themselves.
8 tTheir horses are swifter than leopards,
more fierce than uthe evening wolves;
their horsemen press proudly on.
Their horsemen come from afar;
vthey fly like an eagle swift to devour.
9They all come wfor violence,
all their faces forward.
They gather captives xlike sand.
10At kings they scoff,
and at rulers they laugh.
yThey laugh at every fortress,
for zthey pile up earth and take it.
