Isaiah 13:19

19And Babylon, athe glory of kingdoms,
the splendor and pomp of the Chaldeans,
will be blike Sodom and Gomorrah
when God overthrew them.

Isaiah 14:23

23“And I will make it a possession of the chedgehog,
Possibly porcupine, or owl
and pools of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” declares the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 15:6

6the waters of eNimrim
are a desolation;
the grass is withered, the vegetation fails,
the greenery is no more.

Jeremiah 50:3

3For fout of the north a nation has come up against her, gwhich shall make her land a desolation, and none shall dwell in it; hboth man and beast shall flee away.

Jeremiah 50:13

13 iBecause of the wrath of the Lord she shall not be inhabited
but shall be an utter desolation;
jeveryone who passes by Babylon shall be appalled,
kand hiss because of all her wounds.

Jeremiah 50:23

23 lHow the hammer of the whole earth
is cut down and broken!
mHow Babylon nhas become
a horror among the nations!

Jeremiah 50:39-40

39 oTherefore wild beasts shall dwell with hyenas in Babylon, and ostriches shall dwell in her. She shall never again have people, nor be inhabited for all generations. 40 pAs when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring cities, declares the Lord, qso no man shall dwell there, and no son of man shall sojourn in her.

Jeremiah 50:45

45Therefore hear rthe plan that the Lord has made against Babylon, sand the purposes that he has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: tSurely the little ones of their flock shall be dragged away; surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate.

Jeremiah 51:25-26

25 Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain,

declares the Lord,
which destroys the whole earth;
I will stretch out my hand against you,
and roll you down from the crags,
uand make you a burnt mountain.
26No vstone shall be taken from you for a corner
and no stone for a foundation,
but you shall be wa perpetual waste,
declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 51:62-64

62and say, ‘O Lord, you have said concerning this place that you will cut it off, so xthat nothing shall dwell in it, neither man nor beast, and it shall be ydesolate forever.’ 63When you finish reading this book, z, aatie a stone to it aband cast it into the midst of the Euphrates, 64and say, acThus shall Babylon sink, to rise no more, because of the disaster that I am bringing upon her, adand they shall become exhausted.’”
