Isaiah 13:19-22

19And Babylon, athe glory of kingdoms,
the splendor and pomp of the Chaldeans,
will be blike Sodom and Gomorrah
when God overthrew them.
20 cIt will never be inhabited
or lived in for all generations;
no dArab will pitch his tent there;
no eshepherds will make their flocks lie down there.
21But fwild animals will lie down there,
and their houses will be full of howling creatures;
there gostriches
Or owls
will dwell,
and there wild goats will dance.
22Hyenas
Or foxes
will cry in its towers,
and jjackals in kthe pleasant palaces;
its time is close at hand
and its days will not be prolonged.

Isaiah 64:10

10 lYour holy cities have become a wilderness;
Zion has become a wilderness,
Jerusalem a desolation.

Ezekiel 6:14

14And mI will stretch out my hand against them and nmake the land desolate and waste, oin all their dwelling places, from the wilderness to pRiblah.

vand destroy Assyria,
and he wwill make Nineveh a desolation,
a dry waste like the desert.
14 xHerds shall lie down in her midst,
all kinds of beasts;
Hebrew beasts of every nation

zeven the owl and the hedgehog
The identity of the animals rendered  owl and  hedgehog is uncertain

shall lodge in her capitals;
a voice shall hoot in the window;
devastation will be on the threshold;
for abher cedar work will be laid bare.
