Isaiah 13:2-5

2 On a bare hill araise a signal;
cry aloud to them;
wave the hand for bthem to enter
the gates of the nobles.
3I myself have commanded my consecrated ones,
and have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger,
my proudly exulting ones.
Or those who exult in my majesty

4 The sound dof a tumult is on the mountains
as of a great multitude!
The sound of an uproar of kingdoms,
of nations gathering together!
eThe Lord of hosts is mustering
a host for battle.
5 fThey come from a distant land,
from the end of the heavens,
the Lord and the weapons of his indignation,
to destroy the whole land.

Isaiah 13:17-18

17 Behold, hI am stirring up the Medes against them,
who have no regard for silver
and do not delight in gold.
18 iTheir bows will slaughter
Hebrew dash in pieces
the young men;
they will have no mercy on the fruit of the womb;
their eyes will not pity children.

Jeremiah 6:22-23

22 Thus says the Lord:
kBehold, a people is coming lfrom the north country,
a great nation is stirring from mthe farthest parts of the earth.
23They lay hold on bow and javelin;
they are ncruel and have no mercy;
othe sound of them is like the roaring sea;
they ride on horses,
set in array as a man for battle,
against you, O daughter of Zion!”

Jeremiah 25:14

14 pFor many nations qand great kings shall make slaves even of them, rand I will recompense them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”

set up a banner and proclaim,
conceal it not, and say:
sBabylon is taken,
tBel is put to shame,
Merodach is dismayed.
uHer images are put to shame,
her idols are dismayed.’
3For vout of the north a nation has come up against her, wwhich shall make her land a desolation, and none shall dwell in it; xboth man and beast shall flee away.

Jeremiah 50:9

9For behold, I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon ya gathering of great nations, from the north country. And they shall array themselves against her. From there she shall be taken. Their arrows are like a skilled warrior who does not return empty-handed.

Jeremiah 51:1-2

The Utter Destruction of Babylon

1 Thus says the Lord:
Behold, I will stir up zthe spirit of a destroyer
against Babylon,
against the inhabitants of Leb-kamai,
A code name for Chaldea

2and I will send to Babylon winnowers,
and abthey shall winnow her,
and they shall empty her land,
when they come against her from every side
acon the day of trouble.

Jeremiah 51:11

11 adSharpen the arrows!
Take up the shields!
aeThe Lord has stirred up the spirit of the kings of afthe Medes, because aghis purpose concerning Babylon is to destroy it, ahfor that is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance for aihis temple.

arbring up horses like bristling locusts.

the kings of authe Medes, avwith their governors awand deputies,
and every axland under their dominion.

Revelation of John 17:16

16And aythe ten horns that you saw, they and the beast azwill hate the prostitute. They will make her badesolate and bbnaked, and bcdevour her flesh and bdburn her up with fire,
